Keep the parent task readable
The main task should describe the outcome in plain language. If it contains several actions joined by “and”, that is usually a sign that subtasks would help.
Add only the smaller steps that make the next move obvious. You are not writing a project plan for its own sake.
Attach the useful link
If the task depends on a webpage, form, booking page or document, add the link to the task instead of hunting for it again later.
The task stays the action. The link is supporting material, not a separate reminder.
Save only repeat-use tasks
Most tasks should disappear from attention once they are complete. Save a task when you expect to revisit it, use it as a reference or keep it visible for a longer-running piece of work.
For one-off jobs, completion is cleaner than collecting permanent favourites.
