A list is not a task dump

Lists work best for collections of related items: groceries, packing, questions, gift ideas, places or a repeat checklist.

If an item has its own deadline or needs active follow-up, it probably deserves to be a task instead.

Use sections when they help scanning

Sections are useful when a list is long enough to become noisy. A grocery list might use fruit and veg, fridge, cupboard and household.

Do not add sections to a four-item list just because the feature exists.

Favourite the lists you reopen

Favourite repeat-use lists so they appear in Saved. The list remains editable in Lists and the Saved shortcut always points to that same list.

That works well for recurring shopping, packing, appointment questions and reference checklists.
