Start smaller than you think
Life, Sorted. works best when it becomes useful before it becomes complete. You do not need to import your entire life on day one.
Add the handful of things already competing for your attention: appointments, a couple of tasks, one important date and anything you keep reminding yourself not to forget.
Use Quick Capture as the front door
When something appears in your head, capture it before deciding exactly where it belongs. The red-green floating capture button is deliberately available from anywhere in the app.
If Life, Sorted. can recognise a date, time or type, it will suggest a destination. If it cannot, the item stays safely in Inbox until you decide.
Choose Today’s Three
Today’s Three is a ceiling, not a target. Pick the few things that would make today feel properly moved forward.
Appointments and ordinary tasks can still exist around them. The point is to stop every open loop feeling equally important.
Add one direction, not ten goals
If you want the long-term side of the app, create one goal that genuinely matters and give it one milestone and one small next action.
Goal actions can appear alongside ordinary tasks, so long-term plans do not disappear into a separate app you forget to open.
